An outstanding built in oven
The amount of built-in ovens on the market is mind-boggling so unless you are a cook and have a large family to feed then an oven is just an oven so why this one? I've had an AEG oven now for a couple of years with nothing at all wrong with it and it is used mostly for bread-baking and pastries. It worked well and was a steam oven. The trouble with that was the steam was uncontrollable so I looked for a steam injection oven with a water tank that would give me the control over what I needed. This oven has just that.I must confess more luck than judgment as I saw this oven reduced by £200 on the AEG site then Amazon had their 2-day special event in July with another £200 off so a £1,000 oven for around £500 was just too good to miss. This model will do all the usual stuff, baking just about anything you wish to cook and it will do it very well. It self-cleans, has a food probe and all the goodies you would wish for. You can of course pay £000,s more for an oven with just a few more features but unless you are a professional then there is no need and be assured this is not a cheap and cheerful oven just an oven bought at the right time problems? the instruction book although looking simple could be better rather than a cheap-looking booklet but the AEG website is a much better bet as there are demonstrations and videos of just about everything you could need.Great oven and I am pleased with it .
