Was skeptical at first and wasn’t sure how well this would work and I got it to try because I’m sick and tired of fighting with the holders that clamp the sides of the phone and the difficulty of getting the phone of the mount while driving. This mount the magnet is extremely strong making the phone very stable when on the mount. I liked it enough I bought a second one for my wife’s phone when she’s in the car. Great buy and recommend for someone who drives a lot. Bumps in the road don’t make the phone fall off the mount

Just as I'd ordered my new iPhone 16, MacWorld raved about an ESR case for it and saved me some trouble of getting the wrong kind. I bought it and I have a long review there. (Link to the case follows). That led me to ESR, its maker. I mention that because while buying the case I became more aware of problems with phones in their cases not magnetically attaching to MagSafe compatible car mounts and desktop stands/charging stations.Their HaloLock system provides an additional magnet in cases so that they won't fall off whatever they might be mounted to while charging. I experimented with my phone in its new case with this car mount and it seemed perfect, a good solid magnetic hold. The suction cup grip for its windshield mount option (just a personal preference over the dashboard), appears to be a VERY strong grip, and it didn't appear to me that pulling this phone off of the magnetic mount would pull it all down. With some practice, I think I can do a little one-handed finger dance to lift it carefully off the mount when I'm ready to go. But if it takes two hands, no biggie in my book. So far great. Except my case is too thick, have to either buy another case with magsafe or thr stickers. Drove from store to store to find stickers, nobody sells them. Had to buy a new cable because it doesn't fit into the car USB. For extra measure I also bought a new cigarette adapter, because doesn't fit into my own adapter.

I’ve tried a bunch of magnetic phone holders for the car, and none of them have worked the way I wanted. The magnets were weak, and the suction cups always gave out—especially in warm weather. I'd come back to my car and find the whole thing on the floor.This one from ESR has been awesome so far. The suction cup is solid—it really sticks, even when I try to pull it off. The magnet holds the phone tight. I’ve gone over bumps and speed humps fast, and the phone hasn’t moved. Sometimes it takes two hands to get it off the mount—that’s how strong it is.I already have an ESR MagSafe wallet that impressed me, so I figured I’d try this out. Definitely glad I did. Moving forward, ESR will be my go-to for MagSafe stuff.

I really like this wireless charger! The magnet is strong and works perfectly with MagSafe, it keeps my phone in place and charges quickly. The suction cup is also very sturdy and easy to set up, which makes it super convenient to use.The design looks great and the build quality feels solid. The only small downsides are that the phone can get a little shaky at times, and the cable might be a bit short depending on where you’re placing it. Still, overall it’s an excellent charger and I’d definitely recommend it!

This is the one! Holds the phone super tight, charges fast, and just works. I’ve tried other mounts that wobble or lose connection this one is miles better.

I've tried multiple wireless chargers with my phone and this is one of the few that keeps my phone cool AND allows me great flexibility to find the perfect angle. I have a Pixel 9 Pro in a Dbrand Grip case with built in magnets. My phone has a strong connection and only falls off if I drive over big bumps at fast speed. The only thing that would improve this charger is incorporatong 15W "fast" charging. My phone doesn't charge fast by any standard, but for a longer drive (2+ hours) it's sufficient. I'm knocking off 2 stars for lack of 15W charging, and lack of including a 12V plug, considering the price.

Honestly this is more of a 3.5 start review. The adjustability is great. Quality, it feels good quality. It stuck to the front of my dash and in over 5 months in both cold and hot weather stuck better than the mount I was replacing, I am impressed. I Love the magnet strength. No worries there. My issue comes from it getting sooooo hot it shuts off charging. Now I have this on the front of my dash, below the vents. Those vents are angled away from the mount, and shut. On top of that I NEVER use those vents it’s always either window defroster or floor vents blowing if on. I have had 4 times now my phone shuts off the charging until temperature is safe. So I have to either unplug the mount to cool off or take the phone off all together. The mount just gets so hot.
