Sublime, an absolute joy to use. I’m buying more.
Wow! This item is seriously well made. It says “Made in Germany” on the item, and it shows; As soon as I placed it in my hand I knew I was holding a quality 10 inch tool. Then, of course, came the joy of using it - it easily sliced through tough barbed wire, just like butter, making the process clearing a site of old barbed wire effortless. I bought the 10 inch model as I read somewhere it gives more leverage than the 8 inch. Obviously the 8 inch is more compact, but this 10 inch fits well and is easy to operate in one hand. I’m absolutely ‘blown away’ by this brand which, to be honest, i hadn’t even heard of before. A joy to use, and a quality well engineered tool. Hence why the cost becomes a non-issue as it will last me a lifetime. I now intend buying more from the Knipex product range, as presents for my son and other family members.

Good cutters.
Excellent quality cutter which work well and are very compact. They have been used on old wire netting and small gauge rebar which they took in their stride.

Good to cut 5mm M5 screws
It is expensive, but I needed something reliable to cut about 20 M5 screws to fix my aluminium window handles. It was not flawless, you need some strength, but it was worth it and cheaper than paying a window repair man.

Small but very strong
Nice compact tool. Its size hides its strength. Recommended.

Happy with it.
I could cut a 5mm screw almost like butter.A 5mm steel bolt was cuttable with MUCH effort. So it really depends on your material!Cuts most cables pretty easily, but the jaw opening is pretty small. Won't go much over 6mm. Maybe a bit more if the cable is soft.It won't cut thin string like paracord unless you spend about a minute on each cut.Overall it's super useful for cutting wire/cable and cutting the excess off screws and nails. Great addition to my toolbox. Nice and lightweight, so easy to carry with you when needed.

Hey, they cut bolts.
Wanted a pair of these for my tool bag but weren't top of my to buy list - but happened to see these discounted because of damaged packaging which made not a blind bit of difference to the hardened steel tool inside the cardboard (LOL).Thought they might be too small for my hands (size 7 glove - border of small / medium) but they fit nicely and even one handed I can cut through the type of stuff I might come across doing home DIY.I already own a 180 pair of Knippex high leverage combination pliers that aren't a patch on the cutting capability of these little beauties. As a tool that will last a lifetime, it's worth adding a pair to your toolbox and using them to cut the bits around the house or garden that either might damage regular pliers or if you don't have a strong grip.
