This is great if you live in an apartment. I have a neighbor upstairs who washes their patio almost everyday. All their water and dog urine was going onto my patio. I have dogs as well and they stopped laying outside because of this. Plus, I was having to wash and bleach my patio everyday as well. (Well, I still have to clean the awning, but I do it once a week.)Since I put it up, my dogs are happy to stay outside without fear of water or urine coming down on them. You can place as far in or as far out on you patio depending what you prefer for coverage. It's also nice when the sun is coming in, you can lower it. With these summer months coming it will be nice not to have such a hot living room. Lower power bill...YAY!Some little facts. It will gather water. I just lower it as far as I can and hit it from underneath so the water pool is gone. If you are in an apartment, when windy, retract the awning flush (or all the way in) with the ceiling so it doesnt bounce in the wind.

Assembly wasn’t too bad - a little hard to decipher a couple of steps and definitely needs two people. A little tricky getting it up and into place. Something to consider is the height from the top of your door to where you will secure the poles. In order to keep the door from rubbing on the awning (and fear of ripping it), we had to adjust the side poles - the ones that push the awning out or in. So now when it’s rolled up all the way the poles and awning stick out ABOVE our gutters by about 3 feet. Looks ridiculous, but the benefit we get from it down (blocking the sun) I’ll compromise on the look. We had a huge storm come through last week with close to 100mph winds and it handled it. Of course we had it rolled up, but it still stayed. Overall I’m pretty happy with it. Good solution until we can redo the porch and add on a roof.

1st one lasted a few years being open all the time, even in storms. When it finally gave out, I bought another without hesitation.

This seller stated the color option beige - it clearly is Not beige, the color is CREAM. The description of the color is incorrect. How many others bought this color expecting 'beige'?. This color is not what I need to help block the intense sun and heat in the area intended. I would not have bought this color intentionally.I reached out to the seller and per their response " ... we do not have the beige color option available for the awning material you have purchase." I asked as an alternative, can they refund me the cost of the awing material only so I can purchase the correct color - got no response at all. SMH Now gotta re-box the thing for return.Overall quality is just 'OK'; plus not sure why the 'stable base' is 2 pieces - you have to attach the slip proof rubber sole (easily fell off). This should be one piece.Not a good choice.

Amazon is a liar when it comes to refunds. I was told 3 different times I would get a refund then all rhe sudden they charged me after speaking g with. Customer service they STRAIGHT UP LIED AND CHRGED MY CARD 3 MONTHS LATER MO NOTICE AT ALL.

Easy to assemble. Stays okay but that could be because my roof is slanted. Doesn't take rain very well. It tends to pool up in the middle so you have to hit the sides so the water can drop. Usually keep it closed when it does rain to prevent build up. Nice at blocking the sun and for a little privacy. Mine came in dirty not sure if it was used or if that was from the factory. Okay price for what it does; wish it was just a little sturdy
