I bought this for my other half, as he's constantly pottering around in the garage fixing things. He always loves a new 'toy' to play with and was really happy with this! Simple and straight forward to use and works exactly as it should.

For the price, it's fine. Easier to manipulate than a cylinder-mounted torch and with a slightly finer flame than mine (which is good). The auto-igniter doesn't work at all, the flame blows out constantly until you get the flame balance just right and the instructions are just plain wrong. Bin them, use common-sense and trial-and-error: nothing complicated, after all. But for the money, for occasional use, yeah it's okay.

Went for this to replace a standard fixed head without an ignition, gives much more flexibility and the self igniter it a must, sorry I bought one without previously as was a hassle to light.. Feels heavy and good quality and great price! The flex hose gives it more scope for getting to difficult spaces!

Hooks onto my map gas easily. I was drawn to buying this because of the hose. I feel like I can solder pipe with a bit more flexibility. Works well.
