Very cute collectable sword. Son loves it!
My son wants to collect mini katanas so I bought him his first one for xmas. He loves it! We let him open our mail with it so he can use it for something, haha. Seems well made and looks great! Super cool!

Japanese Style Letter Opener; Great Detail
I got the Wablade Mini Japanese Samurai Katana Sword Paper Knife Letter Opener 8.3 inch (Okita Souji).PackagingThe contents are:-Letter Opener-Sheath-StandProductA letter opener in the design of a Japanese sword.ApplicationPlace the stand on display where desired. Use the sword to slice open envelopes.Final ThoughtsTalk about a letter opener with style! The moment I opened the package I took the sword in my fingers and waved it around like a Samurai. It's aesthetics are fantastic and it has a lot of details for such a small item. While on display it just draws your attention. It's blade is sharp enough to slice through an envelope without issue yet dull enough not to cut you. With this being such an interesting item, it gets my recommendation.

Sharp details but dull blade...
I rate this mini-Samurai sword letter opener as 3.5 (rounding up to 4) stars because the details are amazing, but the blade isn’t sharp enough to cut through the envelope very well. Though I really needed a good opener, I am still happy having it on display.

To expensive
Not worth the price. It's cute but not sharp/thin enough. Don't regret it but wouldn't but it again.

Not your average letter opener
I recently picked up this Mini Japanese Samurai Katana Sword Paper Knife and I must say, it's an absolute joy! The craftsmanship is top-notch, and the sharpness of the blade is exceptional. It effortlessly opens all my letters with ease, making a task I used to dread into something I look forward to.Beyond its practical use, the miniature samurai sword design is stunning. I’ve placed it on its included stand, and it’s now a beautiful decorative piece on my desk. It's so well-made that it doubles as a conversation starter. The safety features are thoughtful as well. When not in use, the blade is protected, preventing any accidental injuries. If you're into unique and functional decor or simply need a stylish letter opener, this one’s a must-have. It’s definitely the best letter opener I’ve ever used, and it adds a touch of elegance to my desk!

Neat looking novelty. Inspires me to keep my desk clean!
This is a pretty neat looking little letter opener. It's sharp enough to cut envelopes easily, and I could probably sharpen it some more with a whetstone. It looks good enough on my desk that I like calling attention to it, so between the fun of using it to open mail, and the novelty of it on my desk, I tend to keep my desk tidier just so it will be more prominently displayed. It's tiny, but that's appropriate for a letter opener. It does its job really well as long as you confine it to opening envelopes. To be honest, I do think that $35 (the price as of this writing) is more than I'd normally spend for something like this, but as a gift for a sword or Japanese culture enthusiast I could see it being a good splurge.
