Extremely Comfortable
I had surgery recently and need to wear a splint at night. The splint I received from the surgeon is one of the most uncomfortable things I’ve ever worn. I started searching on Amazon for a more comfortable splint. I found this one and let me tell you it is extremely comfortable. Don’t even think about purchasing this just do it you won’t regret it!!

Works better than a cortisone shot!
This thing is my best friend!!! I had plantar fasciitis for over a year, except for some temporary relief from a cortisone shot. (Getting the shot felt like being voluntarily stabbed- the closest I've come to crying in a doctor's office since I was a baby.) So, when the cortisone wore off after two months, I was willing to try ANYTHING not to go through that again. The Flexibrace was amazing- pain relief even after the first night. I've worn it every night for the past two months, and my plantar fasciitis pain is 95% gone.I'm here to buy another one, because I BROKE mine by walking on it. It has a stiff plastic insert which isn't mean to flex at the heel. It probably cracked slightly in the first couple of weeks, because I could hear it click when I walked. (I got smart and stopped walking in it, and it still worked fine for another month.) I'm not ready to give up sleeping in it yet, so I'm happy to get another one. And this time, I'm going to try the small size (I'm a women's 9.)UPDATE: I bought a size small the second time, and my toes are right at the edge. I would say that it fits better, but the shin and foot straps are closer together, and they dig in a little more. If I were to do buy a third one, I'd suffer with the longer footbed in exchange for better fitting straps. So, really, you can't go wrong with either size if you're right in-between. Also, the best reason for my update is that I'm completely cured! I slept in this thing for 2-3 months, and then I used it as a preventative for another month or two. Now I'm completely pain free and I don't have to sleep in it anymore. I will use it for a couple of nights if I've been walking in sandals or bad shoes.Bottom line: try this before you even consider a cortisone shot, and give it a few weeks to do its magic.

Worked (with pros and cons)
My foot issues:- plantar fasciitis in both feet. It hurt terribly to walk when getting out of bed.- I had it about 6 months before trying these splints- I have been wearing them for about 2 1/2 months now. My husband has plantar fasciitis in his left foot and this made his better, though not as significantly as my experience.Pros:-The boot truly did resolve the 'pain upon first steps out of bed' issue. It worked the from the first night. It keeps your foot in the 'flexed' position so the muscles and tissues are not a susceptible to tightening throughout the night.- The straps are adjustable to your liking for more or less support. I like the straps looser so I can have a bit of movement in my foot, and I don't like tightly constricted things.- They are comfy and cosy.CONS:- They are padded and therefore very cumbersome. I wear 2, and I wake up throughout the night wondering where to put my feet and just conscience of when I move around.- you cannot walk in them. If you have to get up throughout the night, you have to take them off (another reason I keep mine loose- to slip them off instead of having to un-Velcro them.- They get quite warm. I don't think I will be able to stand them in the summer.WOULD I BUY THEM AGAIN?:Mmmm...probably. My husband would not.I got one for my husband that is more low profile and less padded. The hard plastic support is over the foot to in front of the calf versus this one having the molding under the foot to behind the calf. His is also a bit lower on the calf. He likes that one.

Just okay
It is fairly comfortable, but kinda bulky and heavy. I bought it for sleeping post ankle surgery so I wouldn’t have to sleep in the huge walking boot to keep it at a 90 degree angle. However, it took so long to arrive that I ended up buying a different one while I was waiting for it. The other one I bought is lighter weight and more comfortable so I tried to return this one but the company wouldn’t allow it because I took a few days to decide. (I tried it on but wasn’t using it) I didn’t return it immediately because I wasn’t super on top of things post surgery. Go figure. So I’m stuck with it, and I don’t use it because the other one is better.I have it pictured here on my good leg for comparison. It’s a lot bigger and heavier than the other one. It is very soft. But the strap over the top of the foot isn’t very long and my small foot barely fits in it. (Size 5.5). I bought the medium. It is other wise plenty big, the foot strap is just quite short. It says free returns but I wouldn’t buy it if there is any chance you think it won’t work out... they didn’t allow me to return it.
