This isn't just a planner, it's a game changer. Forget daily planning, plan your life!
I read McKeown's "Essentialism" when it came out and loved it. As someone who has started and failed many a planner, this planner works because it doesn't just plan your day, its purpose is to help you achieve the important goals in your life. The first few pages of the book help you get really clear on your focus and help you break down your goals. It walks you step-by-step through the process, including setting aside time each day to plan. Each week begins with a reflection to plan the next week's goals, and each day is given two pages. I also love that this planner doesn't go hour by hour, I have a calendar for that. This is a task and goal-oriented planner, and it makes me feel good to open it up and get clear on my life and my time. This planner is part mentor, part journal, part clarifier, part motivator and part planner. I already know I will keep this planner on my shelf after I finish it because of what the prompts have inspired me to write. I actually love that this planner is 90 days. A year would seem overwhelming, but just narrowing my focus to the next three months seems so actionable. It really does jump-start productivity from the get-go, but in the right direction and on the right things. Loving it, using it, sharing it with friends and family.

The Only Planner You Need - Really
I’ve tried a lot of planners, but The Essentialism Planner stands out. So many planners are filled with complex exercises that don't really move the needle, but The Essentialism Planner is designed for focus—no gimmicks or fluff, just practical tools that work. Instead of feeling like the planner is guiding me, this planner puts me in control, always keeping what's essential front and center. The daily tools in this planner are what make the difference. They are simple to complete, but deep in their ability to help me focus. The Power Half an Hour is a game-changer for me. Starting the day with time to clear my mind and design my day helps keep my priorities in check. The 1-2-3 Method helps me focus on what really matters - while still helping me to accomplish the everyday things that need to get done. Perhaps my favorite thing about the planner is the three questions, What? So What? Now What?. These questions are simple, but they help me recognize the "news" of my life. It’s also portable and durable, which matters when you’re carrying it around every day. If you’re busy and looking to figure out how to apply the principles from Essentialism in your everyday life, you need this planner.

A hardback planner with a stiff spine? Ugh.
This planner should have been a 5-10 page PDF—there is very little explanatory text, and the pages are very difficult to write on because the binding is so stiff. This feels more like a cash grab than something intended to be useful. That’s a shame because the author’s book on essentialism *is* helpful, from a philosophical standpoint if not in a detailed, practical way. Save your money.

Loved the quarterly review. Will be excited to reflect at the end of 90 days. I think i will probably make this a staple!

A Hardback Planner?
I ordered this book as soon as I saw it was available. Once it arrived, I was really disappointed because it is a very small hardback book, which makes it nearly impossible to write without holding it firmly down. In my opinion, this is not a workable format for a planner. I prefer the spiral binding.
