Expensive for sure. But I have severe gluten/dairy allergies, and I've bought these for a backpacking trip for myself, and to send with a celiac friend to the Dominican Republic when the meals they had were most likely contaminated. Fantastic taste and texture. Life saver for when you have to eat but the food available is probably contaminated. Along with safe protein bars, I now keep a meal or two in the center console of my van when I find myself on the road for longer than planned and don't have safe food available.

Very good flavor. I talked a friend who had never tasted emergency food to split a 2 person serving with me. Needless to say, my friend was skeptical. Paired with a small salad of greens, we both felt we had had a pleasant meal in a healthy proportion. My friend thought this brand would be an excellent choice to have around the house in case of emergency and was pleased with simplicity of preparation.

Trying to find something better, and less expensive, than truck stop food or fast food, while on the road.This tasted great. Just need a bit of salt. Easy to prepare in the truck.

A great tasting hiking meal that reminded me of being at home.The chicken was tender and the potatoes were perfect in seasoning!

I actually haven't opened and cooked one of these so I can't comment on how they taste. I actually bought several Mountain House meals for the long shelf life. These are good for like 30 years. I keep them in my car along with a small camp stove and water for emergency preparedness.

Wasn't sure about how this flavor would come out but pleasantly surprised at flavor & texture. Worked out well ate some as is and didn't need to add anything but of course after first taste test I did add my usual Hot Sauce lol. Would by again.

To be honest I was skeptical about spending the 10 bucks or so on these type of meals because they r pricey but I like to be prepared and like to no my family is gonna be taken care of and the way the world is these days and all the natural disasters and the uncertainty in people in power you never know what's gonna happen these ha e a 25 year shelf life and taste great a must buy for anyone who is preparing or just wants a good meal for the next camping trip i mean it's just super convenient to be honest wither way just add water shake and eat super simple
