Weird taste
I had never tried chamoy before, so I wasn’t really sure what to expect. I was hoping for a tangy, fruity flavor, but the taste was kind of strange. It had an odd, almost vinegar-like kick to it that I just didn’t enjoy. I tried it on a mango smoothie, thinking it would give it that signature chamoy flavor, but it didn’t quite hit the mark. Overall, it wasn’t for me, and I’m not sure I’ll be trying it again anytime soon.

convenient and good tasting
These are great to enjoy on the go! The chamoy seems a little thinner than usual, but has a good flavor. We used it on top of drinks as well as with fruit. Everyone that tried it liked the flavor.

Unfortunate Ingredients, Tastes "Okay," Convenient Packets
Since my taste buds are too sensitive for spicy foods, I had my heat-loving husband try one of these. He doesn't remember using chamoy sauce before, so I explained what it was and what it's typically used on (thanks wikipedia! lol). He said it was "okay" and reminded him a little of sriracha with the spicy level.[SEE MY PHOTO]There were no ingredients listed on the page or on the product package, but luckily they're on each packet. It's small & difficult to read, but I took a photo and zoomed in so I could, which is what I'm sharing with my review. To my dismay, this is definitely not made from a traditional recipe. It has high fructose corn syrup, food dyes, and a non-specific "red pepper" listed, plus it may be tainted with egg. Chamoy is *supposed* to be made with dried fruit (like mango or apricot), and this sauce has zero fruit in it. Bummer. Also, one of my grandkids has some severe food allergies, so I won't risk this on him before showing his parents. They really should put the ingredients on their web page!I originally ordered these for the convenience of picnics, road trips, & family camping, since most of my family enjoy a bit of spice.I saw some early reviews have concerns about quality and having less than the advertised amount (100) in their packs, so I was sure to check the expiration date & count them when I got them. Mine expire 11 months from the date of receipt, and there were exactly 100 packets in the zip bag they come in.I was going to give this 4 stars until I saw the ingredients. These are not as special or unique a sauce as I thought they were when I ordered them. I'm disappointed, but glad I thought to check the ingredients and post a picture. It's good to know.
