Q: Is the seat cushion soft and durable enough to not cause butt pain after hour's sitting?

I can't speak from personal experience but my 20 year old grandson sits in it for a couple of hours at a time at least I never hear him complain and he's a lean guy so not a whole lot of cushioning back there if you know what I mean.

Q: What is the weight limit and how wide is the seat?

From armrest to armrest, 21". actual seat area is 18" across. Weight limit is listed at 300 lbs, I'm sitting at 250 lbs, chair doesn't seem to be flinching. Comfy chair, sounds not bad. My only complaint is the footrest seems flimsy to me. Other than that I recommend.

Q: Are the Arms adjustable?

No, they are fixed, and due to the design; as you raise and lower the chair back, the bolts holding them in place loosen and need to be tightened once in a great while( your usage may vary so I cannot speculate on how frequently you may need to re-tighten) but my housemate and I both have one; his needed re-tightening only once in over a year of usage.
