The color is a dark gray. The blanket is super soft and has several heat levels to choose from. I have cats and dogs so having a blanket that durable and able to go through the washer is an absolute must. I bought the blanket for me, but my husband keeps grabbing it up before I can get it. lol! Usually we just end up sharing it because it's big enough to stretch across both of us sitting on the couch. The negatives would be somewhat uneven heating. Some areas heat more than others. I have also noticed that it seems to turn itself on. The features say it turns off after 8 hours, but I dont think it should turn itself on. I'm sure it probably user error. Over all, it's a great blanket. Light on its own, but can super warm (based on your desired settings) when it's plugged in.

First, It is so Soft! Works great with heat, but nice, also, without. Lightweight. Wires aren't bulky, so using it without the electric is still comfortable. Have machine washed one time and seems to have endured. I like the 4 heat setting. The lowest is just warm - great for just cold feet or sore muscles. Was the only source of heat when tent camping in 40 degree weather and on the High setting, kept the entire tent cozy overnight even out from under the blankets. Purchased my first one about 4 months ago, use it every night. Bought a second for another room.

I love the rich color and the convenience of this throw. The heat level is a bit lower than I would like but it serves the purpose for now.

I'm going to have to buy another blanket so my pets can also use their own. It's so nice and warm and amazingly soft making it perfect in the winter or for that time of the month when I can't get warm no matter what.Update: I bought another one in a queen size. It's thin so I can use it in the summer and in the winter. There is a huge space on both sides of both blankets where there's no coils but all the blankets I looked at had this so its fine I guess. This is also the hottest blanket I could find and its so nice and warm. The pets also like that I got another one and they can use my full size blanket.

My house is 110 years old with no insulation in the walls and a crawl space, so we get very, very cold in the winter time. (I’m trying not to run the house heat because it’s like bleeding money.) I decided this year I’d try a heated blanket and it has been such a game changer.Pros:- Even when the blanket isn’t on, it’s still very warm and good at keeping body heat from escaping.- My pitbull loves it and keeps trying to steal it from me lol- Heats up quickly and keeps the heat well.- Super soft.Cons:- Not very well made. The seam around the edges is messy and poorly done.- The heating coils are only in the middle of the blanket, about the space of a throw (I bought the full size version) so there is like 2ft of blanket around the edge that does not have heating elements. When I bought a full sized heated blanket, I expected the whole thing to be heated.- Mine doesn’t automatically turn off after so many hours like the description says.I was going to return it because of the cons, but after using it for a couple very cold nights, I ended up really liking it and now it’s a stable in keeping us from freezing.

This would really get a 4.75 but there is like a foot of the blanket around the perimeter that does have the the wires in them. Other wise I’ve had this blanket for 2 or 3 weeks and I love it! It’s soft, the clicker has 4 settings, it’s nice and big for me to roll in, and did I mention just how soft it is? Over all, 10/10 would recommend to a friend! Just be careful with the part that plugs into the blanket, I had it on high the first time I used it and that part left a little burn (super light, mostly just the exposure for that long did it) on my hand.
