Barbie Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland Mad Hatter Doll

I am amazed at the incredible accuracy of this doll. Usually, Barbie male dolls just don't quite hit the mark, but the head sculpt on this one is Depp/Hatter to a T. The clothes are truly outstanding as well. Quite frankly, I think it compares extremely well to the much more expensive Tonner doll (which I also own and love).Barbie-type character dolls really aren't really meant for playing with if you want to keep their accessories from getting lost and their clothes from getting damaged. However, I have my Hatter perched on a bookshelf, and he seems perfectly happy to have his position changed a bit from time to time, to have his clothes straightened, and to be admired just the way he is. Definitely not for small children who want to bash their dolls around the way I used to when I was little.Come on, guys, you gotta admit: if you liked Burton and Depp's vision of the Mad Hatter, this is a really cool way of inviting him into your house for a little craziness. He's well worth it.Now if Mattel (or Tonner) would just come up with a way to make a doll out of Burton's Cheshire Cat, I'd be a completely happy camper *cheshire grin*

Just to start off, this doll is a beautiful replica from Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland. It is very detailed and has many movable joints, which I was surprised to see. I haven't owned a Barbie since the early 1990's, but decided to get this one because I loved the movie.It is not meant to be played with at all, this is definitly a collector's item. I bought the doll so I could enjoy it myself, not to resell it later, and I'm very happy I did. It looks better when you take it out of the box so you can see all of the intricate details on the figure. I rated how durable it was as a 3/5 because you wouldn't want to take the clothes off of him, and even the hat is held on by the plastic packaging ties. It was a difficult and tedious task to get him out of the box.Overall, it is worth every penny if you are a big fan of the movie, Depp's performance as the Mad Hatter, or a collector. Would not recommend this for children.

I have to admit...I am 25 years old and just had to have this doll. I do not collect dolls, however, I am a huge Johnny Depp/Tim Burton fan. I love the movie and of course, Depp's portrayal as the Mad Hatter. I purchased this solely as a collector's item when it first debuted. The price was a little high for me, but being a dedicated fan, I caved. The likeness to Depp is uncanny and the detail is extraordinary! It comes in a very cute box, which my doll will be staying in. I highly recommend this item to any Depp/Burton fan!

My personal opinion on this doll is it somewhat looks like Johnnny Dep.The reason I bought it because barbie usually doesa good job at making a doll look well like their Cleopatra doll looks like Cleopatra Liz TaylorThis doll does not have all of Johnny Dep features such as his face chin is not pointy or angular. it is rounder around the chin and jawlineThis Barbie mad hatter Johnny Dep has a very pointy chin. I still like the doll great collector item, but I plan to drop some serious cash to get a figurine that looks like Johnny Dep. There is a figurine not a doll that does look like him.(This is not the mad hatter) price is high three hundred and up. Pirates of the Caribean.This Mad Hatter doll is a collectors item not a toy..

I did buy this product from Amazon and it did arrive in good time and in excellent condition.And I actually bought him a year ago but only recently have I learned how to post reviews on Amazon.First off I must say that I am a big fan of Disney's 2010 "Alice In Wonderland" and I loved Johnny Depp's portrayal of the Mad Hatter. This little guy has the costume in great detail, from his mis-matched socks to his lace cuffs and his chain of spools. His hair is soft but not really the neon red orange of the movie. The bow tie is large but not overly so. He has the embroidery flowers on his pants leg and the bundle of ribbons on his side The scarf on his hat is long and hangs below his waist. He has the hatpins on the side of his hat and the 10/6 tag. I wish he had a peacock feather but that might be easily torn or messed up.He does look like Johnny Depp and has the make-up around his eyes and and on his lips, but his eyes could have been bigger and greener as that was a trademark of this character.He is not a doll to be played with, but he is a very nice additon to any one's doll collection who likes Johnny Depp and Disney characters.

This product was amazing it was shipped very fast. That item was better than its description. I was very pleased I ordered it for a gift for my daughter,but when it arrived I thought about keeping it for myself. I ended up giving it to my daughter for christmas. I would love to get another one for myself. This doll looks so real its an amazing product. I would recommend this to anyone who likes the Alice In Wonderland movie.

The price on this is ridiculous I payed $35.95 or less when it first came out there's one on here for over $400.00 that's in sane for a Barbie doll mad hatter

When I opened the package I noticed the missing key on the upper left corner of The Mad Hatter box was missing and a chip on the rim of his hat. Unfortunately I will have to return him ...he is absolutely beautiful! Fast delivery & I will repurchase.
