Good sound for outdoor applications
Ordered to enable music listening for our Christmas lights. Speakers are driven by a 2.1 amp and sound is good for speaker size. Of course it is not audiophile quality but for price and outdoor capabilities, the value is excellent.

AS ADVERTISED
Already had the subwoofer. Since we installed a pool wanted to expand our sound system. So, I ordered more of the satellite speakers. They are not in the “heavyweight” class of speakers, but for our purpose the meet the end use intended. Our friends and neighbors had no problem “getting their groove on” when we had our party. One area for improvement? A sturdier ground stake and the post that it attaches to the speaker.

Bad manufacturer support
Had to buy this or return a bigger package that includes these. They had missed bolts and screws. These help determine the Size of them. They mixed metric and imperial hardware. As far as support I wanted the whole system I got discount, they offered no parts or replacement just a refund. Refund once you buy a AMP receiver cable wires for outdoors are more expensive than the speakers. Had to thin the wire ,to 18ga for it to fit this hardware. Sounds is good have 4 plus the sub. These speaker satellites have no bass at all also it is moderate loud to kind-of Loud when they shine (75 to 85 db)

Trash
I've had these for three years. I bought the 2.1 system directly from Monoprice. One speaker stopped working after one year so I had to order another one. Then the other one went so I got out my 15 year old outdoor rock speaker and the sound from the rock speaker is 20x as good. The speakers sound wavy when you walk by them. (Then the subwoofer stopped working in the middle of last summer. Just dug it up (which was super fun) took off the top and it's filled to the brim with water.) Great waste of $200 on terrible sound and a sub that doesn't work and which was mediocre in the first place.
