Good ruler made for purpose
I use the ruler for foundation paper piecing and adding a quarter inch around english paper piecing

Tapered edge
Bought for Foundation Paper Piecing & has added advantage of a tapered edge ! I used to use a piece of card for folding paper along the lines ! Now I have the ruler edge & add-a-quarter fits neatly up to edge, no slipping.

Ideal for FPP
Cheaper versions are available but the tapered edge makes it easier to fold the paper. Took star off only for price tag.

Invaluable for foundation piecing
Love this little ruler. Easy to see where to cut a true 1/4 inch seam, no slipping just but it up to the edge and then cut. Flip it over and you have a fine tapered edge that allows a crisp fold on your paper piece. Invaluable little gadget that truly works.
