System works well

I wanted to replace the straps on my new solar reel and ordered this 24 piece set. I am beyond pleased! The original straps had really weird connectors for the solar cover and would constantly unsnap. These connected and have stayed put… without having to puncture my cover. Very happy!

These are a great idea in theory. Previously kit used to connect the solar cover forced me to punch holes into the cover to place plastic screws through clips, then drill holes in the aluminum reel to screw similar clips to hold the straps. This solution requires no holes on either side, which is very nice.We use a heavy thick solar cover so will monitor how well it handles the load using only a pinch clamp on the cover and Velcro/adhesive tape on the reel. So far ok, but our main problems in the past have been the straps disintegrating over time by exposure to the sun and chemicals. So we'll see how well these straps hold up. If they do last, we will never go back to the old style connectors.Good day.

Excellent clips. Much better than those attached to the new reel that included clips we decided to replace. These don't tear into the solar pool cover; instead, they grab. According to my cousin, who helped me install, these clips are of better quality than other replacement clips. Installation was easier than I expected. Eight clips were enough.

They use Velcro for the reel. Sorry tape doesn’t work.

These are great! I love the screw top for tightening. Previously the only clamps I had experience with were the ones that you had to push really hard almost shut for it to grip, and that hurt my thumbs. I much prefer these, and I feel like the mechanism will be easier on the plastic as well

Just what I was looking for! I just recently got a solar pool cover and a reel for that as well, but needed the pieces to attach it with. These work perfectly! So fortuitous that I discovered this when I did. Everything seems quite durable, and it all attaches easily. You get everything advertised and set up is super easy. I believe they will last many, many seasons. Will report back if that is not the case. I'm definitely a fan.

These look like a very good set, it comes with the hardware needed to connect the pool solar blanket to the reel.I have used a solar blanket for many years on my inground pool, in my opinion the solar blanket is a must have. In order to make things easier it is better to have a reel where you can use to roll the blanket out and unroll to cover your pool. That is where this kit comes in play, you need the clips to grab the edge of the blanket, the straps to attach to the clips on one end and the reel on the other end.The clips are a bit different from what I have used in the past, I hope they work and last at least the same as the other kind. The difference on these is they do not "puncture" the blanket, instead they "grab" it. Another thing is these use hooks to attach to the clips instead of the straps going on loop within the clip. This way it is easier, however the additional bulk of the hook might damage the blanket and creates an uneven area when rolling the blanket.The only issue I have with these (which unfortunately is very common for this type of items), the side that attaches to the reel has some Velcro stickers to connect the straps to the reel, they are really small and usually with weak adhesion. I don't even bother using them (they normally don't last). I just pre-emptively use stronger Velcro strips that go at least half way around the reel, that works very well for me.
