Q: When I connect this into a 3.5 mm - xlr adapter and plug xlr into mixer board I get no sound. Can someone explain?

This product was designed to be plugged into the wireless sending unit . However, if you mixer board has phantom power turn it on, it could work. no promises

Q: Will this work with a sk 100 bodypack?. i am looking to replace a me 3-ew headset.

Probably but very bulky unit that requires you to turn up gain

Q: Will this work with Mac/will I need a specific type of adapter?

Not without the rest of the set. Then you will have to get an interface to tie it into the Mac/ Garage Band. Guitar Center is a good place to find out what you will need to make it all work. I think you can get all the information on You Tube also . Probably not the answer you were hoping for but it just isn’t that easy to record to IMac! Sorry
