Very nice - but it is not IPS
From the Acer website: Active Matrix TFT Color LCD.I bought this intending to read PDF academic/technical files in portrait tablet mode.Currently I use a asus TF301 10.1" (2560 x 1600) IPS - it has a more even display than the R13 (I think this is due to the R13 not being IPS) - but 10.1 inches is a little small. My main complaint with the R13 is that minor changes in viewing angle are noticeably different - that is not the case with the TF301.That being said, I am very happy with the overall design. It is nice to have one device that is comfortable for reading PDF files, and can still be used as a laptop for coding, mathematica, etc.For a case I just got http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FBP5PCM - and it fits pretty well - maybe an inch too wide and 1/2 inch too long.

Not able to charge the laptop when it's ON
Bought this laptop in February so it's been only 10 months. I haven't even used that much also. 1 month back I upgraded my laptop to windows 10, everything looks good with all the new windows 10 features. After week or two, my battery stops charging when laptop is ON, sometimes it works and sometimes it just gives up. You can see the battery Icon will display the power getting connected and disconnected every 2-3 secs. There is annoying bios sound that comes up every time this happens, so I have to mute all the sounds, I can't hear any music, videos anything. Eventually after 2-3 hrs. battery will run out of the juice which means you need to close all your work before the shutdown process starts. You have to wait another 1 hr. for battery to be charged enough before I can start the laptop, otherwise it won’t charge.I have tried every possible solution recommended online by other users who faced similar issues with other laptops. I have updated all the drivers and updates. I called Acer and they are saying I need to pay $300 for them to look. I am going to downgrade the windows to windows 7 or the original windows 8.1 to see if the problem occurs in those versions. I just hope that this is windows 10 issue and not the hardware issue.

A Great 2 in 1
It's a fabulous machine. I did my research and it's the best value in price range. I have owned many other machine types over the years and Acer has always been my "Go To" machine. Build quality is great and features are great. Will definitely recommend it.

BAD Construction of the internal power plug / adapter, Broke in less than 6 months!
Initially I like the Acer for its light wt and the speed of its ssd hd. HOWEVER, I realized very early on that the power plug was too small and ready tto break. I could not hold up to a few bumps and the power adapter inside the case broke off and has been a huge hassle. I have not even had the laptop for 6 months and power adapter has broken off inside

Great laptops!
I just purchased three of these for my department and we love them. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because one came with the Acer Active Pen in the box and the other two did not. The product description mentions that the pen is sold separately so I'm not sure why we received one inside the new, unopened box with the laptop for one laptop but not all.

They don't aspire to greatness!
Received this laptop on 9/11/2015 and find it's the worst laptop I've ever used. Keyboard layout is funky, you need the function key to go home or to the end. The delete key is down by the space bar. The keys are unresponsive and now the touch screen stopped working; a know issue and on line tech support couldn't fix it. Never buy from the Acer store as you can only return it within 15 days not 30 like most stores.
