Do these boards have a glossy top as I don't want due to making my pound cakes slide?

One side is glossy, the other side is not. I've never had a problem with my pound cakes sliding. I put my cake on the glossy side. I need to order more because I really like them.

What is the coating made of? Is it a plastic coating???

I don’t think it’s a plastic coating. It is shiny almost like photo paper.

Can you put these in the oven?

I wouldn't. They're cardboard with some kind of coating. I doubt they'd withstand oven temps.
