These are ideal for connecting 12v cables in cars and caravans. Slip unit over one of the cables, bare ends and twist the two together. Pull seal wire connector over the joint and heat with a hot air gun. Heat shrinks the outer tubing to make a waterproof and insulated join, while the gun melts the solder and joins the wires permanently.Didn’t find the smallest size any use as it is only for very small cables, and when buying in future I will just buy the bigger two sizes.Great product. Saves a lot of time and effort.

Please with mixture of sizes. Simple to install. Can’t comment on the waterproofing. Neat and tidy appearance , better than bulky connectors. Overall great value for money

I've never used connectors like this before. I usually use the little chocolate block connectors or solder and electrical tape. I bought this set as I had no block connectors and wanted to repair the cable on my lawnmower. These worked well to repair the cable and have the added benefit of being waterproof and strengthening the joint. You definitely need to be careful heating them up as the first one burned before the solder melted. However using a lower heat setting the second one melted perfectly and created a decent connection and a waterproof seal. I've already used them multiple times now to repair cables without issues.

Read some reviews about these type of connectors that suggested they were not so good but used correctly they are excellent. I couldn’t have done my indicator replacement without them due to poor access to wiring. Very happy with seal and solder ‘run’ using my hot air gun. Would imagine it’s totally sealed each joint, so I expect it to be a permanent piece of work that never lets me down. Highly recommended. (1 month after repair and I’ve ridden through rain and wet roads and all is good and joint looks professional and permanent.)

I have to say for the price these are a must in any automotive workshop, very simple and straightforward to use with a heat gun and a surprisingly strong watertight joint for not much effort.... I will never use my crimping tool with connectors again these give a very solid joint with no fuss.

I have used similar before but found the smallest connectors very hard to heat enough to melt the solder without the outer plastic becoming molten.Yes. I used a heat gun.
