Q: Wet weight of a 2012 r1200gs is 504 pounds, limit on the specs is 500 lbs? how can it be recommended for a r1200? on top of that i have accessories!

The stand is 5mm steel plate. That is not your problem. The problem is the castors. You are borderline according to the specs. and so it is your call. I had to make modifications to the one I bought, but I'm now happy. You might be in the same boat.. Amazon has a large selection of castors. If you can find four low profile castors rated for 150 pounds each, you now have a 600 pound stand. Good luck.

HelloThanks for your interest in our items. I wouldn't recommend using this dolley on a bike that is over 500lbs, as the wheel castors may break. If you purchase metal wheel casters and swap them out, the stand would be able to support a heavier bike. You should be able to find them at your local hardware store if you plan to do this. Q: How does the brake on the dolly work?

I bought 4 and yes they all work just fine. I had one center stand that had the push arm in an awkward place not allowing me to put it on the dolly dead center and the dolly is robust enough to handle that too. I like the price and it works as well as one I paid 4X as much
