Yeah it handled latex easily so lacquer shouldn't be issue

Q: Does this fit the new style of 1 gallon plastic paint can like Behr?

Hi Brian. Thanks for your question...... The truth is It depends. Home Depot just changed their cans to a "New & Improved" container made by KW container. KW sent us some and our lids do snap on but do not seal as nice as the old ones and any one with a metal rim. If you have the new size and it does not fit well, you could heat the rim of the can up with a heat gun and make the opening "oblong" just slightly. 1-2 mm is all you need and then the lids will snap on. The other option is pour your paint into another metal can that you know our lids will fit. Thanks. PS: New website is thelidstir.com. Dave

I am not familiar with your particular situation. However, over literally thousands of orders from Amazon I have yet to experience a situation where Amazon did not stand behind a product and make sure that the item delivered was as promised or, at a minimum, issue a full refund. The paint mixer has worked wonderfully for me; I use it to stir fire retardant gel every six months in order that the gel not lose its required properties. Hope this helps. Tom Nelson
