I don't enjoy wearing lipstick, since it's so drying and leaves color on cups, teeth, clothes, etc. I've loved Lip Smackers' Dr. Pepper lip gloss for decades--I don't drink Dr. Pepper, but that little tint of color in the gloss was great. Unfortunately, Lip Smackers no longer offers that flavor, and none of their other glosses leave a tint on your lips.That began my quest for a replacement. I found 3 options on Amazon: Dr. Delight by Delight Naturals, Hurraw's Black Cherry tinted lip gloss, and Clinique's Black Honey Almost Lipstick.The photo is a comparison (gloss on a clear piece of acetate)--I actually still have 2 Dr. Pepper Lip Smackers glosses, so I was able to use it as a "control".Dr. Delight was brown and not very tinted. I also didn't like the flavor (however, I'm not a Dr. Pepper fan--so people who do like that flavor may really love this one).The Hurraw gloss left a nice tint, and was a pleasing flavor. To me, it's the most like the tint from the Dr. Pepper Lip Smackers.The Clinique Black Honey Almost Lipstick is expensive and comes in a lovely silver tube. I've learned that I have to retract the gloss completely back into the case--I didn't do that the first time, and left a blob inside the lid. The color is very dark by comparison, but looks natural and pleasant. It's not as creamy-feeling (gloss-like) as the others, but it isn't drying. I think it emphasizes my thinning lips, though (old age strikes again)--unlike the others.I do like the flavor of the Hurraw lip gloss, and also the tint it gives my lips. It's pleasantly creamy in feel, too. I've since purchased another Hurraw flavor--not tinted, but also very pleasant to use.This gloss is pricey, but I do like it. The funky shape is fun, too--and still fits in a soft-sided lip gloss holder (yes, I have those--I have to have my lip gloss close at hand at all times!).

The black cherry flavored and tinted is very sheer so if you want a darker stain tint I would recommend using the Benefits Lip Tint first and then wear the black cherry balm on top. The flavor and scent reminds me of cherry candy/Dr.Pepper lip balm from LipSmackers! It’s yummy, smells great and tastes great!The Hazelnut tinted balm has a nice sheer bronzy brown tint and the scent and flavor reminds me of a Tootsie Roll candy/lollipop! I love wearing this one when I’m drinking coffee!People have complained about the size being small, but I’m grateful it is small so that it fits in my pocket without bulging out like I have a lipbalm on my pocket.Highly recommed these 2 products.I did purchase the Raspberry one in the past and loved the color tint that was sheer but could not get past the scent of that one and ended up tossing it in the trash.These two so far… are my favorite! Super duper moisturizing!!! My lips are never dry or cracked after using this!

Oh, how I miss my Dr. Pepper Lip Smacker! Just a touch of stain/gloss. This is a good dupe for it, though. Thought it a bit pricey for 1 tube. And you receive only 1 tube in the pack.Goes on smooth. Gives you that nice hint of red. Felt good when on.One star off for price.

My daughter loves the tint and smell. It feels very nice on as well.

I bought the cherry tinted one which did not provide any noticeable color on my lipsI even swatched it on the back of my hand and it looks almost clear with a very minimal red tone. However I will keep it due to its superior moisturizing qualities. After applying it on dry "cracky" lips they became perfectly soft and smooth after minutes. Though I wouldn't recommend buying this for the tint it is 100% a great lip balm. You can even smell the yummy cherry after application.

Love this product! Light almond scent - like marzipan. Light feeling and moisturizing. I will buy again for sure.

I got this after reading semi positive reviews of so many others hoping to find a replacement for the Dr Pepper Lip Smacker no longer in production. It's the same color, that's about all I can say about it being similar. It has a slight scent but not flavor at all - NONE. Also, the oval shape made it sort of difficult to use evenly. As for how it lasted - it went almost twice as fast as the Lip Smacker. As for how well it worked - it was OK, nothing to write home about. All, in all, for the cost and drawbacks, I will not repurchase.
