Q: Does this package come with everything including the mesh cage?

My package came with everything pictured including the live caterpillars. Recieved March 2019

Q: can this be stored for a week or two? how soon should i start using it?

We received live caterpillars about 2 weeks ago. You can probably store for as much as a day or two as everything they need is in the container, but I wouldn't wait much longer as things start happening quickly.

Q: I'm in Vegas so in 3 weeks it'll be 50-55 at night ? So will they survive after I release them

From the Insect Lore web site "Release your butterflies when daytime temperatures are at least 55 degrees Fahrenheit. Butterflies need this warmth to fly, feed, mate and pollinate." ........ Also, "Adult butterflies typically live for 2 to 4 weeks during the warm parts of the year. During that time they will feed, mate, lay eggs, and begin the amazing butterfly life cycle, or metamorphosis, all over again!" Hope that helps.

Q: Can I play with my caterpillars?

The instructions state not to play with the caterpillars. They are left in their containers until after they form into chrysalides.
