HOWEVER, the following details might mean, no. ====== Important Information: Crompton 12V LED MR16 lamps will operate with most AC or DC 12V transformers. However, some 12V transformers may have a minimum required load which may not be met when installing low powered LEDs; these transformers may cause flickering or the LEDs not to function correctly. If in doubt, Crompton Lamps can supply a suitable LED driver (Part number: LEDDRIVER10W) which is guaranteed to drive 1x 5W LED MR16. Contact Crompton Lamps for more information or for prices of our LED Driver. ====== FURTHER, this lamp is discontinued, so future replacement might be tricky.

My transformer is used to transform power to LED lights. The power for the transformer is from the mains power 240/50 volts 50 Hertz.
