Hi Dana, this is a good question! The thickness of the clear side is 3 mil and the embossed side is 11 mil. Thanks to the 10-year experience of manufacturing vacuum sealer bags, we can make these bags thin and clear while maintaining similar mechanical toughness with the 4 mil bags out there.

I am right there with you. It's very time consuming to locate products made somewhere besides China. Scary right? Products from India are of good quality.

Are these bags textured on both sides of just one?

Is each bag a specific size or do you choose the size?

Hi Rob, under this product page, the size of the rolls is 8 inches wide and 50 feet long. So the width is set and the length can be set by you with a cutter or simply scissors as you like. Cut it, seal one end, put your food in it, vacuum and seal it, done! Also, we have 11 inches rolls (11"x50') and pre-cut bags in pint (6"x10"), quart (8"x12") and gallon (11"x16") sizes. Check them out searching "Wevac" and you may find the most suitable size you want.
