Q: Do they leave lint on your body and are they absorbent?

Yes very absorbant and I had no lint after 1-2washes. Also you should always wash any fabric whether it be clothes, towels, bed sheets before using because of the chemicals, Urea formaldehyde, that's used to set in the dyes/color to the fabric. These dyes can cause severe skin reactions for people similar to a poison ivy rash or less severe reactions like dry, itchy inflamed patches of skin. Also It is possible to transfer lice, scabies, bacteria, and fungus from one person to another person especially if it's clothes because most have been touched or tried on. Stores & Dressing rooms can become breeding grounds from everything from bacteria, viruses to athlete's foot.

Q: Are these towels 100% cotton or 100% cotton loops? I don't know what ring spun cotton is.

The construction will always affect how long a towel will last and how comfortable it feels on your skin. Loops make towels more absorbent while twists make them more durable. Twist refers to the number of twists per inch of yarn. The lower the amount of twist in a yarn, the more plush the towel will be. A high twist adds strength and uniformity to a yarn, resulting in a more durable, substantial-feeling towel. Combed cotton is combed to remove all debris, and short threads making the cotton uniform and straight. Ring Spun cotton is where the short and long fibers are spun together, making a stronger yet finer yarn for better feel and durability. This method produces a more refined feel than that of a basic combed cotton yarn. Two Ply cotton doubles the amount of yarn used to make a very durable, absorbent, dense and substantial feeling towel. Zero Twist has zero twists of yarn per square inch, making the fabric more plush. Hope this helps. They are great towels!

Q: Care instructions say not to use fabric softeners when washing. How about dryer sheets (Bounce) when drying the towels?

Generally fabric softeners of either kind (liquid or dryer sheets) are never a good idea because of the petroleum based residue that is left behind on fabrics. For years I used fabric softeners, but now only use dryer balls. I am saving money and our clothing and towels stay fresher longer. Another person suggested here the idea of putting vinegar in the liquid fabric softener holder of the washer. I’ve also tried this suggestion and had great results for freshening and softening our towels. Don’t worry no vinegar smell stays on the towels!!

Q: Anyone else notice sloppy stitching on their towels? loose threads? i may return these, b/c 700 gsm matters little if construction is bad.

Amazing towels despite being thin

I have to be completely honest, when I received the towels I was skeptical because yes they ARE on the thin side. However upon using the towels they exceeded my expectations.They dry your body so much better than thicker towels “high quality towels” and they are great for gentle exfoliation. The set is an excellent value and functional, especially compared to more expensive towels. Highly recommend!

Beautiful towels. BUT wash separately the first time because they get a LOT of fuzz in the dryer.I think these are the perfect color, size and soft and absorbant
