Some kind of plastic???? I'm not sure, it looks nice, not like something that you would get at the Dollar Store. It has been outside through Texas Gulf Weather for 2 years and has not Cracked or Faded.

Is the bottom hollow? I need something that will cover a small metal pole.

It stands on 4 short legs leading up to a metal base that covers the bottom of the pagoda. It's not hollow.
