How about adhesive, the screen stick firm in place?

If you’re referring to the adhesive on the back of the Velcro strips that go along the door frame, yes, it sticks very well . It also comes with little tacks to tack it down as you install it. But if you ask me, the adhesive is plenty sticky enough on its own… and the Velcro is quite strong as well.

How many magnets? Would be any gaps after using it a while?

More magnets than I want to count...but the short gaps between the magnets do not create OPEN gaps, so this screen really DOES seal out all insects. If you follow their instructions, you will get a tightly sealing screen door. I've been very pleased with mine.

Does it block light coming through?

Not completely. Ours is white and just looks foggy if you look through the screen -.more like diffuses the bright light. You can still see outside fine. We love ours. No more slider to come off track
