Q: How does it compare to a standard squat and deadlift belt?

I recently got this belt and have used it for a couple of weeks now. I lift moderate weights, max being about 250 pounds for squats and deadlifts. The belt supports me quite good so far.

Q: How does the belt close? Is it velcro?

The end of the belt slides through a metal clasp, you pull tight and it is secured with velcro. Fit is tight, comfortable and feels very secure.

Q: Has anyone tried this for belt squats? how does it compare to ironmind or spud squat belts?

I’ve used it as my all around belt for squats and deadlifts and it works great. You can get it really tight and when I brace my abdomen into it for squats there is no give to it. Pretty much all you can ask for.

Q: Exactly how thick is this belt? I'm looking for a belt that's about 10mm in thickness or so.

Roughly 3/8”. Thick. But even thicker where the loops are
