FlymoFLY021 Double Autofeed Spool and Line for Grass Trimmers - 599431790, Red

It was very nearly as described (have bought the same product from someone else before) and it worked fine and automatically rewound for about 10 mins. It is a pretty strong cord and works well with my electric Flymo cutting through pretty thick nettle stalks.The problem was that after the 10 or so mins it stopped unwinding and when took it out to inspect it BOTH sides of the line had completely disappeared?I ended up having to cut both sides and almost completely unwind. I ended up losing about 1.5 metres, which when you consider it cost 8.69 (and that's only because my son ordered it via his prime membership) that equates to over 3 quid and that's WITH the free postage.I could have sent it back but as1) That would have taken ages and I didn't have the money to buy one in the interim,2) Plus if I'd waited for the replacement, it might have been the same.That's why I decided to just "cut" my losses so to speak and make do with what I had left.Next time I will go to the ebay store that does Non-genuine parts as the first item was incorrect spool size but they let me keep it (which meant I could wind the line on my old spool and as I had to re-wind this one anyway!) AND sent me a replacement one for free. I can't go wrong as that all happened within 3 days of me ordering the first one which was 3 quid cheaper than this so called "genuine part"Originally I gave this 3 stars as it it was all fine apart from the need to re-wind the line which I find quite easy but then, I took into account the price it would have cost if it wasn't for my son's Prime account andlet's face it the wire not unwinding is a pretty major design flaw.

Bought this spool and line to replace the old one on our Flymo strimmer. It came in a Flymo box and looked authentic, but no sooner did I start using it, but the line snapped. I refitted it (with some difficulty as it completely unravelled as soon as I removed it from the strimmer) and yet again it only lasted a few seconds before snapping again.Looking at the spook itself, it looks like the line has been wound onto the spool the wrong way round (the spool has an arrow on it to show the direction to unwind it, but it actually unwinds in the opposite direction), which makes me think it's probably not a genuine Flymo product, even though the packaging suggests it is.If you're looking for a new line to replace your current on your Flymo strimmer, I'd recommend going to a reputable shop where you can be sure you're buying a genuine Flymo part. This one such poor quality as to be completely unusable.

Each and every time your guaranteed that the line will break. Feeding is very hard as the line quickly starts to undo itself. Not worth the money another review that has said the exact same thing .

I bought this one as others on this site were described as possibly not genuine Flymo. This one was not different and snaps off really easily! I also managed to cut my face as a piece of strimmer line flew off, afeww inches higher and it would have taken my eye out! What ever happened to flymo strimmers? My previous Flymo strimmer took any other 3rd party lines and worked flawlessly.

I purchased the reels with the double cords to replace my run out spool. Easy to install and a far better construction then the earlier cords. Works like a dream.
