What size would fit 5ft1 99 pounds

The chart in the pictures only shows a regular child size chart with us number sizing, including chest, waist & hip.

What size should I buy a 12 year old girl with a regular build as a gift? S, M, or L?

I purchased medium for my 9 year old who is a small but athletic build (gymnast) & 73 lbs. - perfect fit. She usually wears an 8-10 shirt. I would recommend a L for 12 year old.

Has anyone done iron -on patches on these types of shirts? Will they stay on?

I’m not familiar w iron-on patches but this shirt is not like a cotton Hanes shirt, it’s more of a silky, dri-fit material.
