I bought these to replace the 2 upper eyelets on the top of my boots. They work good but I had to buy bigger rivets to fit the eyelets on my boots. These are very well made and super strong.

Great way to replace broken hooks

More than 90 passed since I added hooks to the upper shank of my boots.The hooks have held up very well.The rivets supplied to secure the hooks are, well, useless.The first rivet snapped on, first try. The next hook attempt killed six rivets without success. I picked up Chicago screws to attach the hooks. A half an hour later I had attached seven hooks. When I tightened the laces the first hook popped free of the rivet, time for one more Chicago screws.I love the hooks, much more convenient than eyelets on the tall book shank. The price is low enough to purchase WITH a set of Chicago screws for the best success.

Rivets were too short for my hikers. They pulled through at first lacing. I had to use other rivets, which now work great.

Easy install

I was pleased to find that speed lacing hooks could be added to my new boots.I just tried to install these. NOPE. I went on YouTube. One also needs an installation kit! Most kits include the tools and different colors and sizes of rivets for not much more $.

My new boots first lace up and a lace hook goes flying. Not playing the warranty or replacement game. These boots are hard to fine, so fix it and move on is my plan. Super happy with the outcome.

Rivets have failed on me. You need to hammer them till they deform to hold at all. I also covered them with a towel before hammering to protect the finish but they fall off unless you bend them up. If they weren't so thin they probably wouldn't have fallen off already. I've had to reattached them multiple times.
