So frustrating......
Well, this book just wasn't for me.(Will contain some spoilers)*******The plot : There is no plot in this book, like maybe say there was probably 2% of it, yet it didn't make any sense. They wanted to overthrow this villain and had to make a plan. That was the thought process at the starting of the book until the 95%. No progress in between. The world building: Man, I am still confused. Do they have seperate realms for vampires and humans, or they live in the same one and vampires hide? Do they have a King? Are their more leaders? Do they all live in together or alone? Just what exactly? How were those villains tracking these protagonists since the latter should have been powerful as well (because well, they are supposedly special)Powers aren't explained properly. You don't have to explain them, just have to show them, ... which brings me to my next issue with this story.Lot of telling, and no show : They just say she had bad life, but we don't see it. So, can't really connect to that. I don't see chemistry then all of a sudden there are "I love yous" flying......ummm, why? There is nothing to love that person, that's just how boring they were. And, the way she came to that conclusion.....ughh, so frustrating!! All of a sudden, she is like this person is like this. I am like, how does she does that? There is no evidence until that point but that's how he is. She just knows and we should know that too?FMC : My God, I didn't want to be in her head. She had such contradictory thoughts for everything. There would be a yes and a no in the same paragraph regarding the same thing. I am like, wtf does she even want!? One of the things that irritated me the most was, the FMC literally had no fight or fire in her. She was just so passive with no goals or opinions, and I am sure thats not how the whole thing about Dom and submissive works. One time she will be like she is not happy with something so she has to talk about it. Then, this guy says no tomorrow, just straight up no consideration to her opinions. Then, she goes like Oh he is right 😒 like what? That's how it is throughout the book.Relationship : Again no chemistry. The men had better chemistry and history between them than with her. They would just ignore her and go fúck each other. She is just a means to have a heir to them. That's it. Remove the I love yous and it's pretty believable. The characters are so bland. I can't emphasize enough on this.Spice: Tell you what 😅🤣 I didn't care what they were doing. It was just so repetitive. The scenes weren't exactly top notch or anything, just a lot of rough pounding and drinking blood and more pounding and drinking and...well just went on.Um, it was a tough read for me. But, I guess if anyone is looking for only smut (though I wasn't impressed with that though) they can give this book a try.

It had potential, but it was squandered! If you are looking for pure smut you would enjoy this
This was totally a smut-fest with a sprinkling of ‘plot’ in between. And when I say smut, I mean like 80% to 90% or more!😬🪶 Mina is an anomaly. Half-human half-vampire with no magic of her own, her father abused her, mistreated her, and ultimately gifted her to Malachi Zion, a vampire of one of the oldest and most formidable bloodlines. Having struggled for freedom since childhood, Mina is determined to escape from Malachi only to realize that he is not as threatening and terrifying as she thought. While the chemistry between them sizzles right from the beginning, she ultimately starts caring for him and his two best friends and companions and she shares a rare bond with three of them. Now all she needs to do is defeat her father and claim the crown with the aid of her three companions. But defeating her father is not as simple as it sounds, after all, he is the most formidable vampire of them all.Honestly, this book drowns in smut. It’s a reverse harem paranormal romance, so you can imagine the sheer volume of explicit content. While I saw potential in Mina’s character, it never materialized. I kept waiting for her to get her act together, but it never happened! 🤷🏻♀️Out of her three companions, Malachi was my favourite. He cared for Mina from the start, and his feelings for her went beyond mere attraction (a gross understatement, really!). Unfortunately, I can’t even say there was a plot to speak of - just an endless stream of smut. (Have I mentioned smut enough yet?🤣) While I love smut in a story - this was way overwhelming! Whenever the plot got interesting it got smothered by smut. There came a time when I skipped all the smut to find out what happened next! The story had potential, but it was squandered and left entirely unexploited! If you are looking for pure smut and no plot - this one is definitely for you!
