Cookies taste awful why?

Making mixes and refrigerated doughs is different than making a cookie meant to sit on a shelf for months. I think Pillsbury makes a lot of good products, but they don't understand what they're doing here.

Does each bag have a printed expiration date?

Yes, it will be on the front of the package/ back of the package. The box will also have the batch number
