Q: What size cable will the terminals take? The leads of my battery array are standard 12v car battery leads i.e. 6mm2.

Do not use wire that will fit the controller - this will incur unnecessary voltage drop. Instead, thin the end of the wires to fit the terminals.

Q: What is the maximum input voltage? Can several 35V (open circuit) panels be connected in series?

There are different models/sizes. E.g. The 75/15 takes a maximum of 75 volts and current of 15 amps, so these must not be exceeded if panels are joined in series. Two 35V panels would have a total voltage of 70V.

Q: is this suitable for an AMG battery

Hi There, Thank you for your question. The default settings on this controller are typically suitable for an AGM battery type. This has a charge voltage of 14.4v during 'absorption', 16.2V at 'equalization' and 13.8V at 'float'. If the default settings are not the best charge voltage for your battery, this controller will allow you to programme user-defined battery charging parameters. To use this function on this Blue-Solar model you would need to purchase an additional accessory.
