Q: Is this compatible with pc & desktops and will it work on usb 2.0

Works on my Windows 8.1 PC and I have heard it working on a Windows 10 PC as well. It is backwards compatible so it works in a USB 2.0 Port as well.

Q: You cannot utilize USB 3.1 without a modern mobo and processor, huh?

Backward compatible to 2.0, but if you want the 3.1 speeds then yes you have to have the supporting infrastructure.

Q: For read it says up to 130mb/s but for write it says up to 15x faster than standard usb 2.0 drives, how fast is that exactly in mb/s?

I tested with CrystalDiskMark and it was about 22MB/s. Mine is the 32GB model so the 64GB model will probably be faster. These tiny drives typically use the same memory that is on a cheap microSD card, so they are pretty slow.
