This grip is perfect for recording external audio and meets all my expectations. For the price it is fantastic! I used this to turn a Wireless Go II and Lav Go into a headset for an improv show, Worked great.You can turn the transmitter on and off using the power button without hearing a thump. It is a little odd that it is so close to your mouth, but its fine when you get used to it.Would have been nice to have a flesh-coloured option, but I guess the mic is black anyway.

Great for holding microphones and other coldshoe mount devices, however I feel a little overpriced. It is only a piece of plastic, really, however there does seem to be a lack of alternatives out there.It is handy though, and comes with a little cable tidy too to hide your XLR away out of sight, and there is a screw thread on the bottom to attach to a boom pole or microphone stand.If you are purchasing to remove handling noise from your shotgun microphone, you may want to purchase a suspension system, as this does not reduce handling noise that much (it simply travels through the plastic and through the mount into the microphone itself). As a hand grip, however, it does the job, and provides a nice firm grip that your hand nicely fits around.

Quality

I honestly don't understand the high ratings.... the stickies that come with them do not stick to the silicon at all. Not at all. They do, however, stick to clothing so much that it take 4 washes to get out. It's useless so far a I can see, totally. Am I doing something wrong?

The head set is very light and the large size fitted my head well. However it's very difficult to the actual mic to sit into the from clip and the small clip at the back that holds the wire in place is way to narrow for the Law mic cord. So yo have to wrap the card around the frame and the cable end up separating from the dead set. All in all it looks clumsy and unsightly. It as though the this head set is not compatible with the RODE GO Pro lav Mic and cable. Considering it's a premium product at a very premium [rice for what it actually is I was very disappointed and returned the item

Simple little handle, useful for things like the Rode Video Micro, which has a cold shoe adaptor, when you want it hand held. No fancy features, just a solid lump of plastic that can screw onto a boom pole or a light stand or similar
