A beautifully made mahl stick. It’s so light it’s even lighter than the plastic one that I made for myself which was very light. Unlike my plastic one, this one is very strong. It looks so lovely as well. You can tell that this was made with care right down to the way it was tied. I bought the three-piece one. I am very happy with it. I will probably mostly use just one piece or two, but I would rather pay the little bit extra for the third one just in case I need it at some point. highly recommend this mahl stick. Such attention to detail. So light! You hardly notice that you’ve got it in your hand. It’s the best one I’ve ever owned.Also, the customer service is outstanding! As well as the presentation and wrapping which is done with such care you feel like you’re opening a Chanel gift box. Do not hesitate to buy this. You won’t be sorry.

The media could not be loaded. I’m really pleased with my artists rest. It arrived beautifully packaged and has such a lovely smooth black finish. The end is well padded, firm but soft enough to give you great support when it’s resting against a surface. The size is perfect for me as I work on small pieces. It’s fairly lightweight but strong and you would not easily break it. In the past I was using a homemade version but it just didn’t feel really stable…I think because it’s hard to replicate the padded end. If you are serious about your painting then this is worth every penny. It would make a perfect gift for a budding artist and I’m really pleased I bought it.

This is my first mahlstick, having previously used a broomstick. It’s lightweight enough, though the connectors don't feel very sturdy. When you assemble the three pieces, it doesn't bend, but you can definitely feel the impact at the joints. The packaging was just a brown tube, which could have been a bit nicer. Overall, I'm pleased with it. As a new maulstick user, I’m curious about how to clean the cushion at the top if it gets dirty.

I had considered making my own Mahl stick but then seen this. I wasn’t sure about size so went for the longest but most likely to use the shortest length most of the time. It is exceptionally light. The pieces connect together securely. It feels good to be supporting a British innovation. It’s exceptional value for money. It might have been nice to have included some sort of pouch for storage as the tube its packaged in isn’t that practical and the ends are stabled. It’s very easy to use with videos and instructions provided. I wasn’t sure if I really needed a Mahl stick but now that I have it I don’t know how I managed without it. No reason to hesitate if you’re thinking of buying this.

The stick itself is top quality, excellently engineered and a joy to use. Very light and rigid, with no bumps or ridges even at the joints. It arrived promptly and is exquisitely packaged - it would make a very good gift.
