DysonAirstrait™ Straightener

Life changing!!
I was highly debating spending the money on a Dyson Airstrait due to the expensive cost. I ended up buying it as a treat for myself and it has completely changed my hair routine for the better. I can dry my hair straight out of the shower to straight in about 20 minutes. If I let my hair air dry, the Airstrait will dry it in about 10 minutes. I have long, fine hair that is wavy/curly. The Airstrait is easy to use. I use heat protectant and other products and my hair is pin straight for a couple of days, if it starts to curl at the ends I just use the Airstrait again to touch up and it will remain straight until the next wash.

Game changer!
I have not bought a Dyson product that I have not been happy with! I have curly hair and usually use my Dyson blow dryer followed by my flat iron. Now I can dry and straighten my hair all at once and it takes me half the time! Very well made and with every penny.

Silky Smooth Hair! (and STRAIGHT STRAIGHT)
My husband surprised me with the Dyson Airstrait for Christmas. It’s something I’ve wanted to try for over a year but I’d never take the plunge to get one. Surprise… I got the chance! I tried it last night for the first time andddd…. I think I’m gonna love it! There’s a little bit of a learning curve since it blows air at the same time it straightens but you get the hang of it pretty quickly.•MY HAIR TYPE: I have naturally curly hair. It is fine in texture but there is TONS of it. Holds moisture and typically takes forever to air or blow dry.•PROS: Did an amazing job at straightening. With a traditional flat iron sometimes I will have areas that aren’t totally straight where my hair meets my head. I didn’t have any of that with this. It was straight all the way to the root. Took about 2 passes on each piece I did. When I was done my hair felt silky smooth and healthy whereas with a traditional flat iron, sometimes it feels dry and straw like. I feel like this tool will DEFINITELY save me time once I’ve used it another couple of times and have the technique down pat.•CONS: When I straighten my hair with a traditional flat iron I kind of curl my hair around when I get to the bottom of the strand (kind of like beachy waves) bc I don’t like my hair board straight, this won’t do that bc of the airflow output & the fact that the outer part of the unit doesn’t get hot. This has your hair STRAIGHT STRAIGHT when you are done. I had to use the curling iron and briefly run over a few places so it wasn’t so straight. For people that like their hair perfectly straight, it would be a non-issue.I saw a couple of reviews about people saying it was heavy to use after a while but I never experienced a problem with that or felt like it wasn’t manageable.I’m excited to see how the health of my hair improves over time. Overall, I’d definitely recommend!

Super fast and effective, but wish it could shape the ends
I’ve been using this straightener for a few months and I love how quickly it smooths and straightens my hair. It definitely saves time and leaves my hair sleek without the need for high heat, which is amazing. The only thing I wish it had is the ability to shape the ends of my hair. It leaves them straight down, a bit too flat, and I’d love an option to curve them inward for a more polished finish.Still, it’s a powerful tool and I’d absolutely recommend it for quick, effective straightening — especially for anyone who wants to minimize heat damage.

Not worth the money
After reading reviews and watching YouTube videos of people using this, I had really high hopes. I have been looking for a straightener that could go from wet to straight, and for $500.00 I had really hoped this was the one. I have pretty thick hair, so maybe it just won't work for my hair and would work fine for other hair types. I was very disappointed. I tried using it with towel dried, but still wet hair. I had to do super small sections at a time, and it still took several passes to get it dry. It just blew the hair around so that I ended up with a frizzy tangled mess by the time the section was dry. It was not sleek and smooth like other reviews have said. It looked terrible. After spending 30 minutes and not even getting one side of my hair dry, I gave up on it. It also was pretty heavy so my arm was tired after that long and I didn't want to keep going. I ended up letting it dry overnight and using my regular flat iron in the morning. With such an expensive product I really expected better. I won't spend $500.00 for anything short of perfect.
