Q: What kind of adhesive used to wrap around? Covering a hard cover with the fabric.

Instead of adhesive/glue, I used a non-powered light duty stapler, available at fabric stores. 5/16" long staples worked for me as I was fastening to 1/2" thick birch wood speaker baffle.

Q: Is this material pervious to ir. Ie, remote signals

Yes. Sound and signals can easily go through the fabric.

Q: Does this have UV protection? It will be in direct sun.

Not sure but the material is softer and spongier than I expected.
