This is a nice pot. It is big and heavy. It looks as if I could put 2 chickens in here. Definitely 2 Cornish game hens. My first meal in this was chicken breast, fresh rustic chopped vegetables, seasonings and chicken bone broth. It was delicious! You will not regret purchasing this product. Pay attention to how to care for this, read the instructions, they will help you a lot on how to cook and clean this. This is something that could be used for generations. YOU DEFINITELY GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.

I cooked a 6lb chicken in 90 minutes. Tender and juicy. Chicken was fully cooked. Clean up was a breeze. Very happy with purchase.

I like that you can fry in it. You can make stews and roasts. You can cook on the stove or up to 500 degrees in the oven. Love the color. It's heavy but it's easy to.clean.

This Dutch oven is a beautiful, rich red color that I absolutely love (my photo does not do it justice). The finish is really smooth and glossy. I was hesitant to use it on my glass ceramic cooktop, but after receiving the product I am not worried that it will scratch or damage anything because the bottom is flat and perfect. My main intention is to use it in the oven to make chilis, stews, pot roasts, pot pies, or for baking bread (I want to try sourdough). I think it will be great for these foods. I made chili with chicken in it and it worked very well, with really nice even heating and nothing got burned.It is very heavy and feels very durable. Since it is cast iron underneath the enamel coating you do have to be careful in two ways. One, you don’t want to scratch the coating and two, if you drop this pot it could definitely break other dishes. Also it says to be careful not to shock it with abrupt temperature changes. Since I am using this for larger cooking items like stews for in the oven, I got the 7.5 QT oval size, but if you are cooking for only 1 or 2 people or not making large quantities I think the smaller round version would fit better on the cooktop and be easier to handle because it would have a smaller size and weight. This product is so sturdy that I think I will be able to use it for many, many years. It also cleaned up really easily with no issues.So to sum up this seems to be a great quality product and at a great price. And the amazing color makes it beautiful looking too! I would buy it again and it would make a great gift for newlyweds.

I had been anticipating the arrival of this wonderful cast iron roasting pot! It’s everything I wanted in a large pot, it’s sturdy, it has some weight to it but the best part is I washed it immediately and started making a delicious soup! The airtight lid helped to cook it faster! I can’t wait to buy some more sizes, they’re awesome.
