Hi, thanks for your question. These locks are TSA approved so they will work at any airport which has TSA master keys. This included most Western European countries and the U.K.

Q: Does TSA need to relock these to remove their key so that they cannot be left unlocked if luggage is inspected?

Yes, yea can not remove the key until they have relocked the lock. And the indicator on the lock will pop up letting you know Tara opened the lock. The button will reset to the down position once’s you open the lock with your passcode and relock the lock again
