Works as advertised
After decades of reliable service, the AC finally lost refrigerant pressure in my 1980's Toyota at the cusp of summer. AC is all original R12 configuration, never converted to R134a, and parts to convert it are now impossible to find. I was in a real bind and afraid I may never have a working AC again. After dispensing 2 cans of this stuff, the original AC is now working like new, and better than an R134a conversion ever could. Totally a lifesaver product!A couple of points:1. I saw other reviews stating the refrigerant hose connector doesn't fit. I can confirm that the hose connector on this kit does indeed fit the standard R12 low pressure side hose connection. It's a threaded Schrader type valve. R134a systems (and R12 systems using R134a) use a completely different fitting to avoid mismatching refrigerant.2. Other reviews complain the kit is advertised as 3lbs, when each of the 3 cans is only 4 ounces. While this "Arctic Air" refrigerant is compatible with R12 systems, it is chemically much lighter than real R12, so you need much less of it by weight to properly charge your system. Each 4oz can is approximately equivalent to 1lb of real R12.3. Do your research on charging AC systems, and follow the directions. It's not at all like airing up a tire. You can't just go by the gauge pressure. If you aren't careful, it's very easy to way overcharged your system and/or frag your compressor. It's expensive stuff, but you don't need much. Only took 8 ounces (equivalent to 2lbs) to fully charge my AC from zero pressure. Absolutely a bargain compared to the cost of R12 or a conversion to R134a, and a lifesaver for anyone who drives pre-1994 cars and trucks.

Brought my 1978 Olds AC back to life
I have a 1978 Olds Delta 88 where the AC had not been used in 30 years. There was zero pressure in the system.I went to Autozone and borrowed the AC vacuum pump in their loaner tools program. I also had to buy an R12 to R12 hose with a schrader depressor in one end and open in the other end. Relatively cheap.Evacuated the system for 30 minutes. Returned the loaner pump and got my money back. From Arctic Air, I bought one can of their oil that’s compatible with R12, and 4 cans of this R12 substitute, and their hose with gauge. Added everything per directions. So far so good! AC is blowing cold!

4.oz cans of junk
At $75.00 delivered for 3 cans and hose kit.this must be made of gold! Put 3 cans in and it's a 2lb.8.oz a/c system. So upwards of $300 to use this garbage.10 cans to dispose of and packaging? i don't find any environmental friendly value in it.i originally believed they were 12 oz.cans like r 12But upon reciept I seen 4.oz?In a 1lb can? $5.00 an Oz.$20 a can? This costs near or more than r 12 at this price. Now I still have to locate someR 12.this is going in a restored 88 t bird 5.0 matching numbers car I've had for 35 yrsI want it as close to original or I would convert to 134a.Just not happy with the quantity and over all cost.Won't buy again or recomend.

Great product
Great price for what I got. Had to recharge a/c in my 1993 ford ranger that only took r12 refrigerant and it blew ice cold immediately. Only used 1 can

Ice cold air!
This worked great on my 1985 car. The connection is correct for an original R12 system. My car blows ice cold air again. Definitely recommended!

The item arrived earlier than expected but when I hooked it up I found I had a small leak in the evaporator.
