Q: Can this work with a timer? to set it to turn on and off? and can you adjust the power at all? possibly with a dimmer? thank you

See no reason why you couldn't plug it into a time of some sort to come on & off at set times. I don't think you could attatch it to a dimmer.

Q: Will my fish get sucked in?

My shrimp did get sucked in. I found his tail on the back of the wave maker. Its quite fierce. In my tank it was way to much. 200L. If you do buy this please cover the back to protect your fish with some sort of fine mesh. 🙂

Q: Have i missed something? What is the point of this item.

This is needed to move the water around the aquarium so the heated water goes everywhere, so no cold spots, also water movement creates oxygen in the water, and it moves the water and old food etc towards the filters for extraction, depending on size of tank you have depends on what size you will need.

Q: After 3 months of operation, it stopped permanently... Can I get free a new device?

Contact amazon or the supplier. You may have to send it back ans wait for a replacement. Depends what the policy is.
