Always a torch charged up.
Great item, a dim night light, always charged and a torch when you need one. Also lights up fully when there's a power outage.

Fantastic as a torch. Keeps it fully charged and lights up in a power cut.
Brilliant idea. Going to get another two. They passively light the floor below where you plug them in so you can always find them in a power cut. When you pull the torch out of the holder it lights up fully and you can turn it on and off as a normal torch. Then when finished with it you just put it back in the holder and it passively charges it to full again. I have a pair at the bottom of the stairs and one in the top floor corridor., one in the kitchen by the electrical cupboard and will get another for the front porch so when you come home to a power cut you have immediate access to a fully charged torch you can find in the dark.. Again great idea this.

Great, economical, safety feature
This little torch does double duty as a safety lamp as well as a torch. It sits in a charger and responds to falling light levels. However, if you need a torch, just lifting it from its (inductive) charger hoop means you can get to it quickly. We have installed several over the years and they are essential when strangers are staying overnight. Much better than hearing the inevitable crashing about as they search for a bathroom. The touch is small, sturdy, well-made and offers several operating modes. We have not had a failure in any of the 4 that we own.

Simple but brilliant
Stayed in a rental property in Cornwall, they had these all over the house, upstairs and downstairs, great idea, nightlight when its dark, torch as soon as you lift it out, no switching on, should there we a power cut emergency lighting at strategic points, and you can see where the torch is!

Great torches
These torches are a great idea, they are constantly charged and have a cool night light feature. I live in the countryside so if there is a powercut (which happens more often than when we lived in the city), there is no ambient outside light to help, and it is pitch black!Pros:- Night light when dark to help finding the torch- When charging is stopped the main torch lights up, so if there is a powercut the torch will turn on, as will it when you remove it from the charger.- They charge via a 3 pin plug rather than a little USB, so have built in holders for the wall sockets.Cons:- I have noticed the night light sensor is quite sensitive, e.g. when I walk past my shadow can set the night light off on a bright sunny day. Not an issue really but could annoy some people.- They are very light weight, whilst I dont really see this as an issue it could make some people think the quality isn't as good. The torches are sufficiently bright to see in to the area ahead, they aren't long range, but for a powercut situation or getting around the grounds at night they are spot on and would recommend them to anyone looking for an emergency torch.

Dependable!
Most of these type of Power Failure Lights have Proximity switches that tend to get a bit annoying when they come on every time you go near them. We live in an area that for some reason seems very susceptible to sudden power cuts. These can be dangerous as soon as the darker evenings arrive, and you don't need distractions like lights flashing on at awkward moments, so in the past we have resorted to switching the lights off, which is just what you don't want. However the NiteSafe torches don't have these proximity switches, so we find them perfect for our needs. In fact, we now have eight altogether! What better recommendation could you have?

Best value for money torch.
Absolutely brilliant product. Would recommend. Powerful light, dimmed light, flashing light. Rechargeable via socket with a light bulb in handle so easily seen if in a dark room.

Great bit of kit
We've had these a while now, and on two occasions when the powers gone off, they do what their supposed to. It even serves as a night light on the landing outside our young sons room
