Q: Does this grind a small handful of spices, say a few cardamom i.e does the blade sit close to the base to catch what's there?

I only used this grinder for spices and garlic, ginger and chilli. Was disappointed though as it only lasted a couple of months.

Q: My dry blender just arrived today. How do i remove the cover.from the bowl

The cover can be a tight fit over the blending bowl. So, hold the blending bowl through the two oval "cut-outs" in the cover with left-hand then lift the cover upwards with your right-hand. If you still struggle then maybe try the above with two people involved as a new unit maybe that much more tight! Good luck.

Q: Has anyone had difficulty with opening either the top lid or the green section of this grinder? I am struggling with both.

No I've had no problem. My white bit pops on and off the green bit with ease. I load the green container with spices and engage its cogs in the motor part. Then I slip the white top over the green container and engage the three lugs/tabs into the slots in the base motor unit. To grind push lightly down on the top in SHORT bursts so as to not overheat the motor. Remove the top two sections and lift off the white bit while holding the green bit. It does become more loose with a bit of use.

Q: Does this grind wet and dry ingredients together?

Not really, we use it for Chillies and Ginger which is minimal moisture content. It is really for dry grinding as the bowl is not water tight.
