Q: Is this string licorice the original from backbin the 50’s and 60’s and 70’s???? Or is it a new recipe?

NO! It's not. It has the weirdest almost alcohol backtaste to it. You want good strawberry licorice rope? Gustafs. Seriously their (Gustafs) strawberry is much closer to the stuff I ate by the pound as a kid in the 70's & 80's. It's a few more bucks but definitely worth it.

Q: what is the length of each string?

I just received my bag. I actually measured it. I took out 2 separate strings. Mine are 2-1/2 feet long.

Q: Where are these made????

I don't know, but they're the best tasting string laces I've tasted in quite some times. I've been on a search for those string laces that used to be available in bundles at the candy stores in the malls. They seem to have disappeared, replaced by oily, slick strings. The strings I remember were dry and full of flavor. These are not exactly that, but they're closer than any of the other brands I've tried.

Q: Is it the recipe from back in the 60’s or is it the new texture and taste!l? can i get a sample of the string red licorice? before i buy 2 or 3 lbs ?

In my opinion, it tastes the same as the old time 1960s candy. Very tasty. We love it. Bought many bags and always fresh too. I’m just a customer.
