We have taken Golden Seal for decades and it was always a challenge because it was so bitter, but this was surprisingly palatable! I keep hearing Julie Andrews singing, "Just a spoon full of sugar helps the medicine go down."! Thank you!

It works very well for an eye rinse when mixed with eye right.

I used to buy a lot from BS (bulk supplements) but I've had quality issues. However this goes beyond a quality issue, this is a serious transgression, and just look at how many reviews say the same (check the images). This product surely contains 'some' amount of some sort of low quality goldenseal, or maybe it is simply ground stalk of the plant, but it certainly isn't the pungent golden powder of great medicinal use, and value.After years of bad reviews I suppose this company is just trying to sell off what they had mistakenly purchased... or worse, they know and plan to continue. I recently received a question from another buyer who's purchase was completely different than the one you see pictured that look (and smells) like soil.The most disconcerting of my experience was the attitude of the phone agent, insisting the product was fine on the basis of their independent lab testing... as if people who've purchased this for many years have no idea? She was snappy with me and simply said it can be returned within 30 days if you're not pleased with the product.

I learned about golden seal from my parents years ago. Seems like it was a lot more bitter than this.The package arrived quickly and in good shape. I tasted the powder and it's not as bitter as I remember golden seal being. Also not as dark in color. But I think it's still effective. Going to keep using it.

I like goldenseal because it can easily be used when making herbal blends. It offers immune support and very good for making antimicrobial eye drops.

Not what I expected but it does a good job of cleaning the body. Im use to a very green powder with a very strong taste and smell. This powder was brown and far less potent in smell and taste. But at the end of the day it cleaned the body very well. The flavor was easy to tollerate for golden seal. This must be a Chinese variant of the plant. Not bad at all. Very anti bacterial and fungal.Update: This is the best Golden Seal I ever had. Super potent! I mix a TBS spoon in a bottle of water without any boiling. I pour it in a rag with soap and clean up. Great for brushing with as well as drinking. It inhibits anything that wants to grow in or on your body. A+ Wish I could have gave it 6 stars.
