Q: Will these be suitable for carpet without needing a mat?

I just received my wheels and I'm disappointed. Yes, they are much bigger and clear, as the description says; they feel like a rubbery material and they are single wheels vs. the ones that came on my recently purchased office chair which are a divided two piece wheels. However, they do NOT roll on carpet. And if you sit in one place for a couple of minutes you have to get out of the chair and pick it up to move it. On the positive side they don't roll around on the pIastic mat. I believe they would work great on a flat-glued down carpet like what you see in most large manufacturing facilities, but on plush pile carpet, they are no better than the cheap ones.

Q: Do they work on vinyl plank floors. is your floor floating or glued down? got split rubber casters and they lifted the corners on my floating vinyl

These will roll on anything, carpet, wood flooring, vinyl and i am pretty sure for a floating floor too they are awesome i will say that about 1000% better that the wheels that come with an office chair.

Q: The wheels on my big and tall office chair make indentions on the laminate floor in my apartment. Will these castors prevent this?

The best way to know, is to try them. I'm sitting in my chair while writing this, and there are no indentations in my hardwood floor. Hardwood is harder than laminate. The polyurethane wheels will give, so perhaps they may be an improvement over what you have on laminate.

Q: Can this be used for a gaming chair?

I’ve used these on 2 different office chairs. As long as the wheels on the gaming chair are standard then I would think so.
